I recently attended a home party, featuring Jewelry Designs by Stella & Dot. I wasn't sure what to expect... I happen to not usually be a fan of the home shopping parties, only because i don't like making people feel pressured to buy (even though i happen to be a mary kay consultant - which i love! i just am not a fan of pressuring). Anyway, I attended the party and immediately fell for all the cute jewelry and accessories from Stella & Dot! From their fabulous display, incredible products, and right down to their adorable packaging!! I just had to share this fantastic find with all my Brides out there; be sure to check out the Stella & Dot Website where you can order online! Thanks to my cousin Sarah (the hostess) and the oh so wonderful Stella & Dot Stylist: Michelle Bouras for turning me on to Stella & Dot!

There are so many on trend pieces in their current collection that are just perfect for your wedding day look. I even purchased myself the "Glint Flower CZ Earings" that were recently featured in InStyle Weddings Magazine (I've already gotten so many compliments already)!! Check them out here:

I think this incredible pearl and metallic necklace below would be so amazing paired with a strapless gown and some simple earings and this timeless bracelette below - what a stunning look!

Azusa Wedding Location
710 & 720 East Foothill Boulevard
Azusa, CA 91702
www.lindleyscotthouse.com

"This Georgian-style home was built in 1911 by famed architect Robert D. Farquhar for the manager of Foothill Ranch, Charles Lindley, before being passed to pioneering educator, Mabelle Scott Anderson. In the spirit of great estates, the home is sheltered from the outside world by tall trees, green hedgerows and wrought iron gates. A curving loose-gravel driveway climbs to the stately two-story home, painted a cheery yellow with green shutters and white trim. Columns support a small dormered portico, and bushes along the perimeter add balance and color.

Opposite the house a wide expanse of lawn features a majestic cypress and a California Oak, and other foliage contributes to a lush garden ambiance. A private park elevated by a decorative stone foundation is a pretty backdrop for the dance floor, which is set with a canopy and twinkle lights. The Main Lawn has plenty of room for an elaborate reception and a lovely wedding ceremony.

Some brides continue the nostalgic theme by arriving in a horse-drawn carriage; but most often the bride and her attendants prepare upstairs in a Victorian-style dressing room. The bride descends the classic staircase in the Lindley-Scott foyer, then steps outside and follows a walkway between the trees to meet her groom at a storybook staging area—a pair of white picket fences with potted plants and flowers, bordering an arched arbor and a stained-glass inset. While the bridal party and family make use of the picturesque grounds for photos, the guests can stop and smell the roses in the Rose Garden to the right of the house. Another ceremony option is the adjacent Rose Lawn, accented by large Jacaranda trees situated around the perimeter of the lawn; but you’ll be all smiles if you use the fragrant blooms as a natural backdrop for your vow-taking.

This old estate has recently added “something new”: The magnificent Carriage House & Lawn. In a private area ringed with hedges and trees, a carpet of manicured grass is crowned by a white gazebo, a romantic setting for wedding ceremonies. Fashioned to coordinate with the main home, the Carriage House’s white-columned portico welcomes guests into its elegant interior. Formal receptions flourish in the lavish ballroom, where vintage-style chandeliers suspended from lofty ceilings illuminate the dining and dancing. A wall of French doors opens to a cozy patio that overlooks the beautifully landscaped grounds.

Unlike at some private estates, an event at Lindley-Scott House is “one-stop shopping”: everything you’ll need for a stylish reception is included in your wedding package, like choice of wedding cake and linen colors, even a keyboardist! All you will have to do is thank your guests for coming, and receive their enthusiastic compliments." SOURCE

I am a frequent Etsy.com online-window-shopper ;) and could literally spend hours upon hours in fascination at the unique creations the creative wedding and print shops have for sale... Stumbled upon the Belletristics - Aesthetic designs for the DIY Bride storefront and love that all of their items for sale seem to be pretty affordable and help cut down on costs if you visit your local Kelly Paper Company or other discount/wholesale paperies to get beautiful cardstock for lest and choose to print on your own at home (usually it ends up costing less by sending the file to staples since ink is so expensive these days and you may get a good price depending on the size of the bulk order - the only bummer is the price usually includes printing on simple matte cardstock or you just pay for their bulk printing and you supply your own upgraded paper). This shop seems to be flexible with personalizing colors, texts, and some other additions depending on the item and details of the order. Check em out~

'Belletristics is a design shop specializing in high quality, affordable designs for the DIY bride. Using Belletristics' design services will save you time and money while helping you bring together the vision that you have for your wedding. Designs can be created in a variety of file formats, so you can print at home or use a professional printer.'

One of my E favorites Khloe Kardashian, recently wed LA Lakers star Lamar Odom and I hear their wedding was amazing! I secretly wish I were one of their long lost sista's ;) haha... Anyway, Khloe recently posted some inside scoop pictures from her wedding that were just published in OK Magazine. Here are some of the behind the scenes photos from their big day, for the full story you can visit Khloe's Website!

Additional details from PEOPLE Magazine share inside scoop on the wedding: "In what proved to be an elegant finale to their month-long courtship, Khloe Kardashian wed Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom Sunday evening at a private residence in Beverly Hills, PEOPLE confirms. The two were married in front of triple arches of white roses created by celebrity florist Mark's Garden."

The star-studded elite guest list of the Black-Tie wedding for Khloe and Lamar received their Elegant white and silver invitations just days before the ceremony (designed by invitationers Lehr & Black, who also created lavish wedding invitations for Jessica Simpson, Gwen Stefani, and Eva Longoria Parker), hosted by Khloe's mom Kris Jenner and her stepdad. A 10-piece orchestra played during the ceremony as the Bride walked down the aisle in her amazing gown (done by none other than Vera Wang) while carrying a beautiful bouquet made of romantic white nosegay of roses, stephanotis and lilies of the valley.

With a lavish ceremony decorated in hues of lavendar, purple, silver, and white... the Bridal Party sure complimented the styled event in elegant lavender gowns with bouquets of white roses. 'Khloe's bridal party included half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, actresses (and twin sisters) Khadijah and Malika Haqq and actress Lauren London.'

"Wedding planner Sharon Sacks created the Hollywood nightclub-themed reception that followed in a tent on the property, fitted with dark wooden walls, white carpeting, silver mirrors and chandeliers. The tables were decorated with tall white centerpieces with lavender touches made of roses, calla lilies and exotic leaves in soaring glass vases." Source: PEOPLE Magazine

The Lavish Menu included a four-course dinner with chilled heirloom tomato soup with burrata (mozzarella and cream), a salad of melons with fresh figs and feta, followed by a choice of filet mignon or wild salmon fillet and a dessert trio. The four-tier wedding cake was by Hansen's Cakes. For more details from the amazing wedding, visit Khloe's Website.

Hi everyone, Just wanted to spread the word on a talented new designer fresh on the wedding scene... As I was catching up on one of my favorite Industry Bloggers (Mindy Weiss), I noticed a recent wedding she did where the Maid of Honor happened to design the gowns for the entire Bridal Party and I absolutely loved them!! Designer, Joanna August, just launched her website and I figured I would share this great resource for those of you who are still on the hunt for the perfect Bridal Gown and perfect Dresses for your Bridal Party.

Her goal is to "help you infuse every element of your wedding with style and personality by focusing on your bridesmaids dresses, the one aspect of most weddings that is consistently devoid of both! We strive to create beautiful dresses (not "bridesmaids" dresses, just dresses) in a variety of chic and flattering styles available in an array of whimsical and elegant colors that we promise, your bridesmaids will want to wear again and again after the wedding. Choose a silhouette and shade that reflect your own personal style and perfectly compliment your wedding aesthetic while telling the world " I have good taste and I care about my friends." We promise, you won't regret it!"

So check out her current website www.JoannaAugust.com for more info on how you can own one of her gowns or an entire collection for your beautiful Bridesmaids :)

Venue Spotlight: Langham Huntington Resort & Spa of Pasadena

Why we're Inspired: This is another Venue I happen to hold close to heart iis The Langham Huntington Resort & Spa located in the beautiful city of Pasadena, CA. I figured I would post a blog about it this month since it just so happens to be July and a spo

tlight on the same Venue my lovely parents were married at 25 years ago! As a little girl, my parents happened to take my Sister and I there for a random visit... the moment I saw the breathtaking grounds and elegance the hotel boasted - I immediately dreampt of having my own wedding there as well some day :) As you may have read in a previous post, my Husband and I actually ended up getting married at The Nixon Library instead (it was much closer for our family to travel); I guess I must have fallen inlove with the classic elegance the Library had that reminded me of the Langham!

The Details: If you are in the market for an above average wedding experience and want a place that exudes timeless class and style, the Langham is certainly a place to consider. Nestled in the burbs of Pasadena, it is truly a breathtaking experience to be surprised by its presences as you reach the premises. The Langham is the only AAA Five Diamond hotel in Pasadena!! Grand elegance and award-winning service have made this hotel a Southern California landmark for over 100 years. The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa is renowned for genuine service and captivation of the senses.

Wedding Facilities:

Horseshoe Garden:
(now located behind the hotel) was originally the main entrance, today the Horseshoe is the most striking vantage point from which to appreciate the Huntington’s imposing architecture.

Japanese Garden: This sequestered garden has a quiet, almost mystical beauty. A step-down waterfall pond is spanned by a curved footbridge, an inspired spot for an intimate ceremony. Here, whispered endearments mingle with the sound of trickling water, evoking an aura of enchantment. Overlooking the garden’s border is the well known weathered wooden trestle of the old Picture Bridge.

The Courtyard: An outdoor haven where blossoming pear trees fringe a tranquil pond. Relaxed yet refined, the Courtyard is the just the place for a chic cocktail hour.

Georgian Ballroom: This historic ballroom feels palatial, with its soaring arched ceiling, stained-glass windows, and gorgeous pear-shaped chandeliers, each one fashioned of thousands of brilliant crystals and ringed with candelabra-style lights.

Viennese Ballroom: Featuring a vaulted ceiling edged in gold and a glittering constellation of crystal chandeliers designed by the same atelier that crafted the chandeliers in the palace of King Ludwig II of Bavaria.

Viennese Terrace: An open-air expanse that takes advantage of Pasadena’s warm summer nights.

Huntington Ballroom: The hotel’s newest addition is the super-sized ballroom that lets you fête 750 guests in swanky style. Many a high-society gala has graced these ballrooms over the decades, and it takes no imagination at all to envision the gleam of silver and fine china, the swirl of satin gowns and the lighthearted laughter that will accompany your own celebration at such an incomparable establishment.

Fees & Deposits:
25% of the food and beverage cost, along with the site fee, is required to reserve your date. Another 25% of the food and beverage total is due 90 days prior to the event and the balance is due 21 days prior. Rental fees range $750–13,000 depending on the day and number of hours of the event. Breakfast starts at $33.50, weddings at $100 per person. Tax, alcohol and a 22% service charge are additional. -source:guide-
