Now days it seems as though Strappless Wedding Gowns are all the rage and tend to be the first dresses to catch a brides eye. But for more traditional Brides who want to have a comfortable slight strap or sleeve, here are some fabulous style options to choose from.

By far one of my favorite looking gown that has elegant and glam straps. The dress is big enough for a princess feel, but still sleep and simple

I had the honor of Coordinating this featured Wedding... Sheri and Will recently tied the knot at The Irvine Hilton Hotel. Both Sheri and Will are currently in medical residency on the other side of the country and have a large amount of family located here in Southern California. For the Bride and Groom, this was their destination wedding. The day was filled with love, tradition, elegance, and endless fun on the dance floor! I was so thrilled to hear from Sheri, The Bride, that their amazing Photographer Henry Chen had posted a sneak peak of their Wedding Photos on his blog. Ahhh... I just love the photos and most of all it makes me smile to see that Henry did such a phenomenal job at capturing the true essence of their special day for them to enjoy! Thank you Sheri and Will for allowing me to be part of your Wedding; Congrats~

Special thanks to these fantastic Vendors for making the event possible...

Celebrity Wedding Inspiration: Roselyn Sánchez & Eric Winter say I Do!

Celebrity Roselyn Sánchez recently tied the knot to her handsom beau Eric Winter, in her hometown of Puerto Rico. Each detail of their wedding was so well thought out! They had help from their talented coordinator Milly Centeno, of MC Coordinators Puerto Rico. I have to admit that her color pallet was so stunning and elegant with subtlety... Take some inspiration from their wedding photos: you have to do things simply, chic, detailed, and vibrant without overdoing it - they were point on! Congrats to the newlyweds~

Roselyn Sanchez looked absolutely gorgeous (as usual) on her wedding day!

I just love her vibrant bouquet filled with orchids and roses (the crystal accessories add such a nice touch)!

"The silk organza gown (center) Sánchez wore for the ceremony had only one glitch: She had trouble walking in it! "I had to kick my legs to move down the aisle," says Sánchez. The actress slipped into the flirty silk-satin chiffon dress with feathers (right) for her 1st dance, & wore the silk-and-organza gown (left) later that night."

The couple tied the knot in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The ceremony was held at Castillo de San Cristóbal, a fort in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Bridal Shoes for Rainy Weather...

I know that many Brides getting married in any wet and rainy season is going to be worried about what shoes to wear (no one wants to sink into mushy grass in heels, especially the bride)! I recommend wearing a beautiful wedge heel so that if your wedding is out doors at all, you won't be worried about tip-toeing down the aisle... This also goes for Bridesmaids and guests, allow yourself to be comfortable at all times and be able to dance the night away!

Many times, Brides go first to their local Bridal Shops to be fitted and to pick out their Wedding Gown after browsing through countless pricey dresses. I don't always recommend ordering your gown online, but for some who are looking for stellar deals - this may be for you! I do recommend ordering much larder than your estimated size (based on their size chart) as you can always take things in to be a smaller size, but very difficult to stretch out/let out, or impossible to return. Its a safe bet you will have more luck by ordering a couple to a few sizes larger. Also, you can go and get measured at your local Bridal Botique and try on gowns by certain designers so that you can know exactly what size you will need if you come across the dress online at a better price (this is the best route to take)! Best of luck to all of you "White Gown" shoppers~

Blog Love: DIY How to make a Chic Ruffled Umbrella for Winter Weddings

By InspiredGal · November 22, 2009

We found these more pricy finds & also great inspiration for the project:Ruffled Umbrellas Above - From Bella Umbrella $82 - $99

Came across a fabulous and inspiring DIY idea from Disney of Ruffles & Stuff, who recently posted how to transform an old tall umbrella into a cute ruffled one - all on a dollar store budget! Check out this great idea and HowTo for your upcoming fall or winter wedding, enjoy! (Inspiration above and $1.00 DIY version below)

"Materials:

  • Boring old umbrella (on hand)
  • Dollar Store shower curtain liner $1
  • An old button

Cost Estimate: $1

umbrella2

1) First you want to measure all the way around the bottom of your umbrella, and double it for how much curtain liner you will need (plus extra for a flower, and top ruffles). For example, my umbrella was 120″ around, and I cut four 2″ sections that were the full length of the curtain, for a total of about 280 inches. No need to add seam allowance because it doesn’t unravel! Yay!

umbrella3

2) Then sew a straight stitch (on your machine’s longest stitch length) down the middle of all the strips, and pull the bottom thread to gently gather.

umbrella4

3) Hand stitch them onto your umbrella, wherever you like! So easy!!"
